Top 5 Nature Inspired Christmas Decorations

Bring the outside in with these amazing handmade festive projects…

1. Check out The Spruce website where you will find this alternative Christmas Tree and more …

These fire logs piled together in the shape of a triangle make a really simple yet great looking Christmas tree shape. Add some pinecones and you have a truly festive display.

2. Pretty up some pinecones, like these on www.ofdesign.net

Pine cones make super decorations, if its just piling them up in a bowl, sprinkling some glitter on them or hanging them from a tree but for that something extra special how about making them into little characters? Fairies, Father Christmas...let your imagination run wild.

3. Get fruity with instructions at www.goodhousekeeping.com

Easy, cheap and quick to make plus great fun for kids to join in as well. Using fruit in decorations evokes traditional Christmas to me, plus some smell great as well.

4. Make a fragrant herb wreath, like this one by the Yuppie Chef

For a super creative project, make your own wreath out of anything you can find in the garden. Herbs if you have any add that lovely aroma and even adding in edibles gives a new dynamic.

5. Not exactly natural, but it is a bit of nature & craft from BOBO Stitch

When you cant get outside, why not take some me time away from the Christmas rush and try some cross stitch? Bobo Stitch has a fantastic contemporary collection of affordable kits and this one is part of the Woodland Collection, including Ducks, a Mouse, Partridge, Squirrel and this stunning Stag design. Plus it has gold thread…so that’s Xmassy right!? Thread up and Dive in!

Happy Christmas!
