NEW ONLINE WEBINAR
During the COVID-19 pandemic which means isolation for many people worldwide, gardening and nature has become the highlight of our lock down days. Being without connection to the people we love and socialise with is hard and we need to make those connections to be happy. But to truly thrive we need to connect with the natural world and during times of isolation, that connection is highlighted even more. It’s been heart warming and exciting to see and hear of so many people enjoying gardening and growing their own food. But what if you don’t have much space? How do you enjoy the natural world from a balcony or patio or perhaps a windowsill? What if you do have a garden but you still feel lonely? Join this webinar where I will talk through why and how we are connected to the natural world and ways that we can all feel part of the planet together including plants and gardening of course but even more than that!
My Plants & Nature for Wellbeing talk explores the history of social and therapeutic horticulture and how both plants and nature overall help our physical and mental health wellbeing. After some interesting facts about nature and how we are connected together, I will provide my top plants that you can grow at home to help with common health issues. Some may surprise you! It's a fun, relaxed talk but with a serious message. Tree hugging is involved!
Growing your own food for a plant based diet. There are many ways to grow your own food to ensure you are getting the nutrition and variation a plant based diet can provide. I will talk through seasonal produce, growing tips and even some homemade recipes. You'll leave feeling a buzz of healthiness.
The Magical World of Nature & Plants is all about the extraordinary way that plants communicate and survive, cure us and kill us and how this is all intrinsically linked to our wellbeing. Nature is awe inspiring and that is what this talk is all about. When you leave, you will have a new appreciation of your personal connection with the fascinating natural world.
